He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz Florian and Marta Lisa Skoog (Ella); his sister Audrey Leona (David Graveland); his father-in-law John Roy Hirsche; his brothers-in-law, Nyal Hirsche, Gary Michelson and Russell L'Hirondelle; and his nieces and nephews, Wanda, Travis, Justin Hirsche and Ryan Michelson.
He is survived by: his sons, Adam Michael, Jason John and Lance Nyal Skoog; his wife Valerie Jean Hirsche (Alberta); his mother-in-law Jean Lucille Hirsche (Shaffer); and his sisters-in-law, Maria Michelson and Randa L'Hirondelle. He is also survived by his three sons and their spouses; and his six grandchildren.
