He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabel Young and Douglas Young; and his brother David. He is survived by: his wife Jackie (McDonald); his sisters-in-law, Suzan Alexander (Michael) of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jennifer Heron (Bruce) of Motueka, Marty Schacht and Dorna Young of Calgary; his nieces, Robyn Schacht of Calgary, Kimberley Schacht of Victoria, BC and Breanne Young (Drew Jenkins) of North Carolina; and his nephew Braden Young of Lethbridge. He is also survived by three grand nieces and nephews and numerous lifelong close friends.
