He is survived by: his wife Ellen Gfrerer; his children, Robert Gfrerer (Tabatha), Cathy Pahara (Gerald), Joe Gfrerer, Steve Gfrerer, David Gfrerer (Toni) and Kellie Ott (Brock); and his brother Stefan Gfrerer. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
