He is survived by: his children, James MacQuarrie and Jessica MacQuarrie of Lethbridge; and his siblings, Duncan MacQuarrie of Fort Saskatchewan, Jane Seitz (Karl) of Edmonton, Angus MacQuarrie (Alison) of Sherwood Park and Gord MacQuarrie (Darlene) of Lethbridge. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

With Covid 19 relegating him to watching reruns of past games to feed his passion, and he still got excited by them.
