Herb Matis Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2025, at the age of 75, Herb Matis (Lethbridge, Alberta) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Herb Matis to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Matis and Gertrude Matis; and his brothers, Richard and Eric. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Vadnais (Joseph) and Kevin Matis (Marli Duncan); his grandchildren, Kaden and Mykah; his wife Helga; his stepchildren, Tino Fritzsch (Manuela) and Claudia Fritzsch; his grandchild Lea; and his siblings, Rudy Matis and Elvira Penner (Albert). He is also survived by his nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Dad would be please if you wish to make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. He had a valve replacement in 1997, so this was a charity he always supported.
