He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicolai Pauls and Sara Pauls; his wife Susan; his siblings, Heinrich Pauls, Peter Pauls (Martha), Jake Pauls, Nick Pauls (Dora), Mary Pauls (George) and Nette Quiring; his brothers-in-law, George Konrad, Art Parker and Rudy Born; and his granddaughter Janessa Pauls.
He is survived by: his children, Lorraine Listoe (Doug), Ruth Ibbotson (Paul), Waldo Pauls (Arlene), Philip Pauls (Peggy), Bernie Pauls (Cheryl), Wes Pauls (Raechel) and Ed Pauls (Patricia); his sisters, Tina Konrad, Anna Parker, Justina Bergen (Henry) and Helena Born; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Pauls and Alfred Quiring. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
