He was predeceased by: his mother Rita; his brother David; and his close friends, Mikka and Coco. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Jared (Hannah Pederson) and Sarah (Adam Smith); his granddaughters, Avianna and Amelia Becker; his father Ron Becker; his sister Donna Coleman (Rob); his siblings-in-law, Janet Becker, Margaret Michalenko (Alex) and Wally Tunow; his friend Wes Coburn; and his brother-in-law Rob.

Due to current COVID- 19 restrictions as directed by Alberta Health Services, a celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date.
