He was predeceased by: his brother Ben Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hughes of Lethbridge Alberta; his children, Diane Koenen, Donna Hughes-Groves, Allen (Cheryl Matthews), Darcy (Slawson), Jeri Slawson, Terry (Tami Slawson), Bobbi Olson and Gordon Hughes (Tasha Rancier); and his sisters, Charlene Laing and Doreen Gyorkos. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren.
