He was predeceased by: his father Donald Hall Muirhead; his brother Stephen; his father-in-law John Patterson; and his brother-in-law Neil Patterson. He is survived by: his great-uncle Archie Muirhead; his wife Audrey; his daughters, Laura, Leigh and Jill; his mother Nina Muirhead; his brother Neil Muirhead (Joan); and his sister-in-law Hazel Patterson. He is also survived by 5 nephews, a niece.
