He was predeceased by: his parents, Alf Trockstad and Janet Trockstad; his wife Shirley Trockstad; and his siblings, Betty Ann Fredericks and Eivind Trockstad.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Trockstad, Margaret Nilsson (Jim) and Dave Trockstad (Lana); his grandchildren, Mitchell Binding (Kristin), Sydney Binding (Kesha), Alex Trockstad, Shayna Trockstad (Kris), Richard Brantner, Michaela Nilsson, Sarah Brantner and Mackenzie Nilsson; his brothers, Maurice Trockstad (Lourdes) and Leif Trockstad; and his great grandchildren, Owen Binding, Griffin Binding and Brynlee Binding.
