He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Herter and Dan Herter; his wife Evelyn; and his daughter Sharon Morland. He is survived by: his children, Gerald of Calgary, Colleen (Joe) of Edmonton, Karen Trites (Barry) of Leduc and David Herter (Debra) of West Virginia; his brothers, Clarence and Wayne (Betty); and his sisters-in-law, Christine, Margaret and Carol Herter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
