He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Ecker and Ada Ecker. He is survived by: his siblings, Angela Smith (William) of Calgary, Delvina Neil (Terry) of Lethbridge and Sandra Ecker (Mariko Johnson) of Calgary; and his nephew William Smith. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
