He was predeceased by: his former wife Kay Peterson; his wife LaRene Steed; his daughter Debra; his grandson Ryan Phillips; his great grandchild Wyatt McKee; his sister Marion Pascal; and his parents, Herbert Phillips and Vira Phillips.

He is survived by: his children, Lorraine Wolsey (Rick), Richard Phillips (Karen), Gary Phillips and Janet Phillips; and his sister Kay Kenney. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.
