She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustave Zielke and Martha Zielke; her husband Simon Ellert; her former husband Erwin Siever; her daughter Joanne Gayton; her grandchildren, Samuel Gayton and Chelsea Zapisocky; and her siblings, Herbert Zielke, Norm Zielke and Eleanor Shuttleworth (Harry).

She is survived by: her children, Grant William Ellert (Joy) of Sechelt, Eldon Andrew Ellert of St. Albert, Darren Michael Ellert of Kelowna, Linda Lee Phillips of Leduc, Karen Patricia Ruskin (Mike) of Whangarei and Carol Lynn Czarnecki (Paul) of Gibbons. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
