She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Eldon Bienert; her daughter Kelly Miller (Glenn) of California; her stepchildren, Debbie Regehr (Kevan) and Garry Bienert (Margie); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Adam), Daniel (Melanie), Krista (Dave), Liesel (Chris) and Emily (Nolan); her former husband Bruce McDonald; her daughter Karen Abel; her sister Valerie Marsh; and her parents, Marion Nixon and Dudley Nixon.
Peggy was very active in the Canadian Morgan Club, Alberta Morgan Club, Rural Crime Watch, Equine Foundation of Canada, First Baptist Church and with the Youth Justice Committee for Leduc.
