He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Hilda; his brother Ron (Darlene); his siblings-in-law, Ida (Don), Cecil Steem and Cecil Schamuhn; and his niece Bonnie.

He is survived by: his wife Gladys; his sons, Wayne (Jan), Gerald (Karen) and Marvin (Donna); his siblings, Gerty (Schamuhn), Ruth (Steem), Don, Harold (Candace) and Hank Paul (Jad); and his sister-in-law Darlene. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews as well as many other relatives and friends.
