He was predeceased by: his wife Florence; his parents, Fred and Emmeline; his brothers, Dalles and Brian; his son-in-law Roger Ferland; and his brother-in-law Harvey Roller.

He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Schofield (Reed), Sheryl Trepanier (Denis) and Lorie Ferland; his grandchildren, Jenn (Schofield), Paul Michaud, Brett Trepanier, Christina Schofield (Mike McDonald) and Colin Trepanier (Katrina O'Neill); his great grandchildren, Mikayla and Abigail Michaud; his sister Pat Roller; and his sisters-in-law, Janlyn Arndt and Gladys Arndt.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gordon's name to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta.
