He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jeremiah Mercer and Gertrude Mercer; his wife Marie Rowsell; his former wife Joyce Mackenzie; his daughters, Deborah Cantwell (Joe), Chris Chapella (Paul), Joanne Craig (Jim) and Linda-Ray Doyle (Joe); and his grandchildren, Gerry, Corey, Jayson, Amy, Leslie, Joshua and Taylor. He was also cherished by many great-grandchildren.
