She was predeceased by: her parents, Erna Schmidt and Rudolf Schmidt; her husband Ervin Schmidt; her daughter Christine; and her siblings, Linda Krueger, Arthur Schmidt and Sieghard Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Ritz (Randy) of Edmonton, Noreen Seib (Don) of Airdrie, Rita Raffety (Brian) of Norfolk, Nebraska and Lorne Schmidt (Hiede) of Macau; her grandchildren, Elias Ritz (Heather), Talia Ritz, Duran Ritz (Mackenzie), Victoria Seib, Collin Seib, Marie Kucera (Warren), Joel Raffety (Amanda), Garett Schmidt (Jen) and Christina Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Rylan, Kaiden Kucera, Maeleigh and Lincoln Raffety; her sister Emma Provence; and her sisters-in-law, Irma Schmidt and Lucille Schmidt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
