Edward Albert Balzer Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 7, 2023, at the age of 97, Edward Albert Balzer (Leduc, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Balzer and Emilie Balzer; his stepmother Frieda; his siblings, Andrew Balzer (Myrtle), Edith Larson (Bert), Clarence Balzer (Linda) and Mildred Kerber (Vernon); and his parents-in-law, Marlene Balzer and Walter Wegner.

He is survived by: his wife Tillie; his son Doug (Debbie) of Leduc; his grandsons, Steven and Darren; his great grandchildren, Heartley and Weston; his daughter Karen Chesterman (Grant) of Edgerton; his grandchildren, Cole and Ryan; and his siblings, Rolly Balzer, Doris Wegner and Ellen Plunkie (Ed).

If so desired, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Grace Lutheran Church (Gnadenthal) or to the charity of choice.
