He is survived by: his children, Tina Shrimer (Fred), Kathi Hellinga (Hector), Bertram Sluys (Laura), Ted Sluys, Alice Fox and Liz Faulkner (Blair). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and seven nephews and nieces.
