He was predeceased by: his grandmother Elma Bergen; and his father James Galan. He is survived by: his wife Melissa; his daughter Elizabeth; his mother Sandy Derksen; his siblings, Chris Derksen (Sarah) and Sara Derksen; and his grandfather Bill Bergen. He is also survived by numerous nieces; a nephew; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as an abundance of extended family and friends.
