He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertus Gelderen and Annie Van Gelderen; and his son Isaac. He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his children, Nathan, Lianne, Vanessa, Shane Zacharias Karin (Myles), Tanner Francoeur, Cassandra, Michael Carson, Benjamin Van Gelderen, Ashley (Paul Hoogenboom), Levi Vangelderen and Caleb Van Gelderen; his niece Julie; and his siblings, John Van Gelderen (Bota), Tony Van Gelderen (Carol) and Maryse Nieuwenkamp (Albert).
