It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George R Lane (Lacombe, Alberta), born in Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though George may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his children, Ross (Colleen) and Heather; his grandchildren, Kevin, Mark (Shereen) and Stephanie (Tim); and his siblings, Doris and Don (Jeanette). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church (5704 51 Ave, Lacombe, AB T4L1K8).
