She was predeceased by: her parents, Klaas Buist and Bentje Buist. She is survived by: her children, Betty Gray (Gord), Trent Scholing (Maddy), Chelsey van Dam (Jon), Aaron Swier (Sarah), Ryan Swier, Kayla Swier (Jaden), Judy Hazelhoff (Art), Nathan Hazelhoff, Carter Hazelhoff, Herman Scholing (Betty), Kendra Bayes (Bennett), Megan DenOudsten (Paul), Kyle Scholing (Cara), Alen Scholing Stephanie (Laura), Karissa Waisman (Paul), Jadyn Scholing and Zachary Scholing. She is also survived by 20 Great-Grandchildren.
