He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Roseanna Spence and Patrick Bourque; his brother Frank Spence; his brother-in-law Gerald Thom; and his stepbrothers, Joseph Bourque and Sam Bourque.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Spence; his children, Willie McSwain (Jennifer), Kevin Spence, Karen Spence (Steve), Kimberly Spence and Kristyn Spence (Michael); his grandchildren, Shawn, Stacie, Madyson, Mikayla and Isaac; and his sisters, Fern Thom, Lillian Iwaskow (Randy), Edna Spence (Robert), Martha Waniandy (Gary) and Dianne Thom.
