He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Giesbrecht and Aganetha Giesbrecht; his stepfather John C. Epp; his siblings, Jake Giesbrecht, Peter Giesbrecht, Helen Fullerton, Maria Bergen and Margaret Newton; his brother-in-law Jake Bergen; his niece Annette Bergen; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Giesbrecht, Mary Epp and Helen (Bill Bueckert).
He is survived by: his wife Germaine Giesbrecht; his children, Nat Giesbrecht (Sheryl) of Gull Lake, AB, Nadine Terpstra (Gerry) of Red Deer, Nola Kruk (Derrick) and Noreen Ward (Darren) of Calgary; his grandchildren, Rashel Pilon (Grady), Joel Giesbrecht (Charlene), Bryson Kruk and Blake Kruk; his great grandchildren, Titus, Atlas, Ezra, Roman, Emmett and Olivia; his sisters, Martha Remple (Ruben) of Borden, SK and Anna Mumma (Norman) of Elida, Ohio; his brothers-in-law, Larry Fullerton of Big Lake, Minnesota and Al Newton of Sundre, AB; and his stepsiblings, Bill Epp of Rabbit Lake, SK, Henry Epp (Betty) of Rosthern, SK, Liz Baerwald (Greg) of Rosthern, SK, Peter Epp (Dorothy) of Medstead, SK, Ike Epp (Priscilla) of Medstead, SK, Agnes Wiebe (Dick) of Ponoka, AB and Anne Epp of Saskatoon, SK. He is also survived by numerous brothers & sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evangelical Free Church (14124 AB-55, Lac la Biche, AB T0A2C0). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Evangelical Free Church Cemetery (14124 AB-55, Lac la Biche, AB T0A2C0).
