He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susan; his daughter Morgan; his brother Tim; his parents, Tom Ward and Ivie Ward; his parents-in-law, Ryerson and Kathleen Christie; his sister-in-law Judy Christie; his great-nephew Derek Andrusiak; and also, Margaret, Frank Brunning, Jack, Joan Liland, Max, Nancy Christie, Ryerson Morley and Susan Christie. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
