He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Chwedoruk; his father Joseph Chwedoruk; his father-in-law Paul Karpetz; and his brothers-in-law, David McCormick, Leo Karpetz, Philip Karpetz, Brian Karpetz and John Karpetz.

He is survived by: his son Blake Chwedoruk; his mother Sophie Chwedoruk; his siblings, Barry Chwedoruk (Tracy), Sandra Chwedoruk, Cindy McCormick of Edmonton and Shelly Doucet (Marc); his mother-in-law Doris Karpetz; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Dimmer (Ken) of Sherwood Park, Beverley Karpetz and Joanne Karpetz of Edmonton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Resident Council Beautification Project at long-term care.
