He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Schulte and Annie Schulte (Blaeser); and his siblings, Norman Schulte, Harry Schulte, Arthur Schulte, Valeria Niehaus and Maryanna Martz.

He is survived by: his children, Glen, Lorn, Merl, Iva, Ann, Lyn, Leon and Fay; and his siblings, Joseph Jr. Schulte, Helen and Alma Martz. He is also survived by his 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and extended family.
