He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Klynstra and Anna Klynstra; his former wife Deanna Haas; his father-in-law William Huska; his brothers-in-law, Art Thompson and Henk Tobak; his nephew Peter; and his daughter-in-law Amanda Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Klynstra; his son Shawn (Claudia); his grandchildren, Nina, Dana and Mateo; his son Kevin; his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jordyn; his daughter Allison Hubenig; his granddaughters, Zoe and Emma; his daughter Andrea Hubenig; his grandchildren, Jessie, Jacqueline and Julie; his sisters, Lillian Tabak and Alice Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Haas (Gwen), Greg Haas (Luann), Murray Huska (Cathy), Barry Huska (Julie), Lorna Turner (Glen), Barbara Cheveldae (Dan), Janice Huska and Teresa Fox (Murray).
