He was predeceased by: his parents, Chet Averill and Rowena Averill; his brothers, Elwood and Ralph; and his brother-in-law Don Knull.
He is survived by: his wife Marie; his pet Axel; his siblings, Lyn (Sheila), Janet Marshall and Willow Reeder (Bob); and his sister-in-law Peggy Averill. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
