She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim MacKenzie-Grieve and Thelma MacKenzie-Grieve; her daughter Tanya Lise Oxtoby; her sister Agnes Calkins; and her brothers-in-law, Henry (Stew Calkins) and Lawrence Rutschke.
She is survived by: her husband Lynn Averill; her son Curtis Oxtoby of Innisfail; her stepchildren, Brad Rankin of Innisfail, Lynnette Kimmitt of Red Deer and Kathleen Saunders of Sundre; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Tanner, Paige, Shaina, Averill, Trace and Oliver; her great grandchildren, Blake and Dallas; and her siblings, Allan MacKenzie-Grieve (Emily) of Blairmore, Mary (Red Deer), Jean Rutschke of Red Deer, Don MacKenzie-Grieve of Innisfail, Phyllis Waldo (Fletch) of Red Deer, Joyce Bowe (Russell) of Innisfail, Linda Krause (Lyle) of Dickson, Gwen MacKenzie-Grieve of Red Deer, Sherry Butler (Darrel) of Calgary and Ruth Cole of Penhold. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
