She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon Gilroy; her parents, Margaret and William; and her siblings, Kenney Gates and Geraldine Gates.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Gilroy and Shelley Sutherland (Blake); her grandchildren, Hayden and Taytum; her great grandchild Susan Laventure; her sisters, Julia Desmarias and Kathy Gates-Grogan; and also, Braetanna, Mikayla and Lex Laventure. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
