He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sheila; his children, David and Denise Lear (Axel); his grandsons, August and Markus; his brother Dwight (Pat); his sisters-in-law, Ruth Zimmerman of Olds and Audrey Zimmerman of Nova Scotia; and his parents, Gottlieb Zimmerman and Mary Zimmerman. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews.
