Nicolas Mason wrote a sympathy message

“Words can't truly convey how I feel about the lose of my grandmother. I'm thankful for the memories I have of her, whether it was watching her cook at her house, on the farm, in which she cherished, or in later years, when she came to the city to visit, and I would talk to her and she'd give me a great, big hug. My grandma had a tough life, but I remember that she always had a light of positivity, and a fantastic sense of humour. Christmas time at the farm was always a treat, because she would wrap up old fruit in Christmas paper and mark the gift to the unlucky individual as "From santa". Everyone dreaded seeing their name on a santa gift, as they knew that there was going to be trouble. Th family laughed at her creative, and fun, sense of humour. We loved her so much. As she got older, her daughters, son, son-in-law, and sister-in-law, went above and beyond to tend to her needs, showing how tight knit they all are. When I think of Grandma, I remember someone who was generous, always up for a hug, and was strong willed. She believed in god, and put her faith in him throughout her life. Despite hardships, the sudden, and tragic passing of her youngest son, Grandma still radiated love and compassion. I hope she is free from pain. Reunited with my grandpa, uncle Brian, and her sisters, brother, and parents. She lived life with a smile on her face, and and wonderful stories to tell. Grandma may be gone, but she lives on, in the photos, videos, and especially, the hearts of those she touched. I thank god for having you as my grandma. I'll never forget you. No one will.
