It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lillian Elvine MacAhonic of Holden, Alberta, who passed away on November 27, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John; her son Bruce; her parents, William Slywka and Mary Slywka; and her brother-in-law Louis Macahonic.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Gartner and Evonne Urichuk (Valerian); her daughter-in-law Donna Macahonic; her grandchildren, Candice (Travis), Cheryl (Trevor), Caryn (Mike), Christopher, Crystal-Lynn, Katlynn (Brylan), Britney (Ryle) and Robyn (Teagan); her great grandchildren, Brooke, Emma, Brier, Easton, Calla, Annabelle, Johnny, Norah, Sara, Jessica and Drake; her brother Russell Slywka (Diana); and her sisters-in-law, Jean Eliasson (Carl), Ionne Rudy (Jerry) and Alice Macahonic. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to strict Covid-19 restrictions, a private Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church – Borschiw with the Basilian Fathers officiating.
