He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Jean; and his siblings, Jan and Brenda. He is survived by: his significant other Margaret; his children, Calinda (Ron), Lisa (Shannen) and Wes (Juliann); his grandchildren, Rinde (David), Boyd (Danielle), Jayde, McKayla (Kody) and Tyra (Mitchell); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Myles, Kole, Kael, Grayson and Isla; and his sister Mariann. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Van's name can be made out to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
