He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bill McKie and Viola McKie; his son Ryan McKie (Shannon); his grandchildren, Carter McKie and Sarah McKie; his brothers, Gary McKie, Roy "Joe" McKie and Gord McKie; and also, Steve Hulagrocki (Donna) and Terry Hulagrocki (Diane).
