He was predeceased by: his former wife Jean; and his niece Dee Sholan. He is survived by: his close friend Marj Schell; his siblings, Marj Sholan of Winnipeg, Man and Fred Walz of Forest, Ont; and his nieces and nephews, Donna Simard (Ron) of Australia, Del Bridges (Rick) of Winnipeg, Cornell Sholan (Cheryl), Norman Sholan of Calgary and Bill Walz (Karen) of Bowman, Ont.. He is also survived by 3 stepchildren.
