It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gary Voakes (High River, Alberta), born in Kennedy, Saskatchewan, who passed away on August 1, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Voakes (Nee Penney) and Fredrick Voakes; and his siblings, David Voakes, Wilfred Voakes (Willy) and Margaret (Peggy).

He is survived by: his wife Patsy Voakes; his children, Fredrick Voakes (Fred), Garry Voakes, Judy Brown and Wendy Hunt; and his sister Elizabeth (Betty).
