He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughter Debbie Kerr (Keith); his grandson Jarriett Kerr (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Anika Kerr and Braden Kerr (Michelle); his son John Abbis (Laurie); his stepdaughters, Heather McInnes (Troy) and Lisa McInnes; his sisters, Glenda Pinon (Jacque) and Sharon (Rick); his aunt Dawn Boggs; his cousins, Art Boggs and Mel Gibbs; and also Paula.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George's memory to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
