He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie "Fergie"; and his parents, James Simmill and Maude Simmill. He is survived by: his children, Jim Simmill (Judy) of Chilliwack and Bev LaPeare (Dwight) of Rocky View. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
