He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hopfe and Betty Hopfe; and his brother Raymond Hopfe. He is survived by: his cousins, Albert, Jake and Dean.
Donations can be made to the Hardisty Hospital Auxiliary or to the Diabetes Association.
