He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Golka and Elnora Golka; his wife Koreen; his sons, Jeff Golka (Joyce) of Hardisty, Mike Golka (Kathy) of Ardrossan and Darren Golka (Stephanie) of Edmonton; his grandchildren, Jordana Golka, Amanda Kelndorfer (Casey), Courtney Golka, Ryan Golka, Cole Golka, Brett Golka, Katie Golka, Luke Golka, Easton and Cassidy Kelndorfer; his sister-in-law Charlotte Golka; and his siblings, Edlen, Chris Golka (Nellie), Floyd Golka (Sally), Alvin Golka (Elsie), Clara (Benny Grudzinski), Lou Golka (Charlotte) and Ernie Golka (Kay). He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to circumstances caused by the current COVID-19 quarantine measures, a private family service will be held followed by the interment at the Hardisty Cemetery.
