He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest McInnis and Muriel McInnis; his wife Elsie Thomas; and his brothers, Ben, Dan and Ricky.

He is survived by: his children, Diane, Don and Kelly; his grandchildren, Shaun McInnis (Roxanne), Megan McInnis Rogan (Brett) and Michelle McInnis Mosure (Todd); his great grandchildren, Tayo McInnis, Ashton Mosure, Nico McInnis, Bentley Mosure and Avery Rogan; and his siblings, Calvin, Allan and Jean.
