With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert McDonald (Grande Prairie, Alberta), who passed away on March 13, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Helen McDonald; his parents, John "Jock" McDonald and Jenny McDonald; his siblings, Lena Moon (Jack) and Donald McDonald (Nancy); his siblings-in-law, Keith Ladwig and Jenny Bakkehaug; his parents-in-law, Ingebjorg and Einar Bakkehaug; and his great grandchildren, Coy Krawetz and Trinity McDonald.
He is survived by: his daughter Janet Adams (Ron); his granddaughters, Mary Adams and Tanya (Matthew Sandford); his sons, Darrell McDonald and Gerald McDonald (Denise); his grandchildren, Jennifer Young (Adam), Trena Shaw (Tom), Michelle Krawetz (Mike) and Tyler McDonald (Shelley); his daughter Shirley McDonald; his grandsons, Colton Norton (Cassandra) and Chance Norton (Amiee); his son Ross McDonald (Sandy); his grandchildren, Braden McDonald (Jenna), Devon McDonald (Nadia) and Tyson McDonald; his sister Margaret Ladwig; and his brother-in-law Ole Bakkehaug (Tina). He is also survived by 6 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
