Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mervyn John Sylven (Grande Prairie, Alberta), who passed away at the age of 83, on April 23, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Sylven and Gertrude Sylven (Loretta Warren); his wife Sonia Viker; his daughter Karla; and his brother Harold.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Phillips (Mick) and Kenneth Sylven (Elena); his sister Karen Lidgren (Garth Rowlands); and his grandchildren, Christian, Grayson, Alanna and Emma. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bear Creek Funeral Home (11802 99 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB T8W0C7).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grande Prairie Alzheimer's society.
