He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Bowman and Ella Bowman (Packham); his former wife Evelyn Bowman (Kroener); his wife Myrita Hutala; and his brothers, Ken, Gordon and Leslie.

He is survived by: his brothers, Kenneth, Melvin and Allen; his son Dennis (Maureen); his grandchildren, Angela (Davis) and Kailee; and his great grandchildren, Madalyn, Benjamin and Nathan.
