She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Brough and James Brough; her son Curtis VanVolkingburgh; and her siblings, Rick, George Brough and Rosemary Lucas.
She is survived by: her husband John VanVolkingburgh; her children, Dale VanVolkingburgh (Sandee), Wendy Small and Deanne Smith (Brad); her grandchildren, Hilary Hill (Jason), Ross VanVolkingburgh (Cole), Sadie Caron (Mac), Lia Cox (Mat), Whitney Atkinson (Clint), Tyrell Small (Serah), Chelsea Small (Nathan), Cameron Smith, Makayla Smith (Josh) and Hailey Smith; her great grandchildren, Brody, Danica Hill, Oliver, Finley Caron, Walter, Reggie Cox, Charley, Frankie, Axtion, Alfi Atkinson, Elliette, Theodore Small, Harper and Addison McLaughlin; and her siblings, Jim Brough (Maxine), Alice Spotswood, Dave Brough (Linda) and Bruce Brough (Debbie). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gp Church of Christ (9602 92 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB T8V0H4).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Grande Prairie Food Bank, in her memory.
